I am a universe.

I have spent my entire life watching people build barriers around themselves and segregate themselves into different societal divisors. We all, despite our claims feel the pressure to fit in to these categories; and when we don't, behold, the other category: the weirdo. In addition, we have the artists, engineers, business people, biologists, doctors, environmentalists, mathematicians, athletes, dancers, actors, lawyers and the list goes on. We restrict ourselves within our field, we always stay within the barriers, and find happiness and success within the restrictions and if we don't, we are the losers, the nobodies and by societies view - can never be successful.
I want to be an engineer. I want to be a business owner. I want to be an astronaut. I want to be a physicist. I want to work at NASA. I want to be a painter. I want to be a photographer. I want to be a penguin conservationist. I want to be an environmentalist. I want to be a pilot. I want to be a traveler. I want to be a researcher. I want to be a youtuber. I want to be a blogger. I want to be a chef. I want to be an interior designer. I want to help women's rights. I want to help human rights. I want to write a book. I want to try every single adventure sport there is. I want to give a TED talk. I want to have a family. I want to be so many things, have so many experiences. But is it really possible?
Clearly, there is no way I can possibly be or do all those things, not in one lifetime anyways. But I really really want to be able to experience it all, and even more. The world has put forth so many barriers between us and the most basic things. Things that make us stop and think if its really worth it because if i get that, I can't have that. And ultimately, we're lost. Lost in the giant puddle of endless possibilities of which we can't choose more than one. If I have to sacrifice certain things to gain others, I question, not only if I really want it, but how much I want it, and if i am truly meant to have it. If you're successful you can't possibly have a happy family, if you're a scientist you can't possibly be an artist, if you're an artist you can't possibly be intelligent, If you're a businessman you definitely can't be a writer.
Now, although these stereotypes are reducing, slowly disappearing they are still clearly seen in our lives. How many times have you heard the question, " So.. What do you want to do in life?" As if I'm supposed to have a definitive answer to that. I don't think ill ever be able to truthfully answer a question like that. I just wouldn't know what to say, there are a thousand different answers. Restrictions. Restrictions to trying new things, expressing new desires, because "that's not what people like me do." What even is people "like you"? Are all people in a certain profession the same and just can't be interested in other things?
The way I see it: we are all universes. Individual universes, all living together in one big multiverse. And each universe contains its own galaxies, stars, planets, asteroids, suns, moons, comets, black holes and constellations, each universe is its own world, a world containing a little bit of everything. Similarly, each of us has everything. Even if its a negligible amount, we still have it. I believe every single human in the world contains every single skill, quality and characteristic in the world, just in different quantities and types. We are all products of the exact same ingredients mixed in different ratios which is exactly what makes us unique, our own special mix of personality. And therefore, each of us should be able to explore all of our abilities. Regardless of whether someone has just 1 or if they have 76, they should be able to experience and explore every single one of them. And just like universes do, we are expanding constantly and forever growing, learning more skills and acquiring more elements inside of us, loosing others, but still expanding at an exponential rate.
I'm aware this may not be something everyone agrees with or has even thought of, however I (being a science nerd) really love this theory. I truly think it makes sense and should be applied to our daily lives. And always remember, all universes have large expanses of nothing, absolutely nothing and if you're travelling through that phase of your journey, it absolutely doesn't mean that your universe is empty, it just means you haven't managed to land on one of your amazing celestial bodies, your abilities, yet. And of course black holes exist. And these dreaded yet magnificent black holes manage to suck up everything into them, your abilities, your energy, your life, everything. But guess what? No black hole is ever large enough to take over an entire universe, and that is what you are. You're much bigger, stronger and better than your black hole(s), and even if some of you gets taken away, you have literally a billion more things to explore and experience.
Finally, I'm sure everyone agrees, all universes, all celestial bodies are beautiful (If you don't think they're beautiful I'm personally going to find you, and hurt you) and so are we. Every human is amazing and should be able to experience everything they desire. Universes are huge. They're independent and free. They don't follow society's rules and expectations. So why should you?
