Hygge, the danish word denoting peace and sanctuary and illicit, forbidden by law, to us, symbolizes the restrictive and suffocating holds of the society we live in, and it's expectations. This is our retreat to seek the warmth and celebration of a safe haven which is seemingly impossible and forbidden in our world. This collection of thoughts, ideas and feelings is our hygge, where we let go of society's norms to freely and openly be ourselves and share ourselves. This is where we are allowed and able to be the purest forms of ourselves and fearlessly display our passions.
We hope to provide a sanctuary for you, a small place to let go, be yourself, and be at peace. We hope to build and attract a community of passionate individuals who wish to grow and help others grow through self expression and the discovery of your very own hygge.
So for now, we welcome you, extend a hand for you to shake (or a fist bump? high five?) and invite you to join us. Maybe then the hand you shook, will become the hand you hold on to.
